She is a Colombian passionate and experienced educator who joins our academic team with a Master’s degree in Language Didactics from the Universidad Industrial de Santander. With a solid background in English Language Didactics, Sol brings a fresh and innovative perspective to our program.

Her research in digital gamification and academic writing has been recognized for its impact on improving teaching practices, utilizing modern technologies to enhance the educational experience.  Her commitment to education is reflected in her extensive experience in both virtual and in-person teaching, where she has demonstrated a remarkable ability to adapt to various educational settings and motivate her students.

Areas of expertise:

  • Gamification and digital technologies in teaching
  • Motivation strategies and virtual learning.
  • Development and assessment of communicative skills in both English and Spanish Language.

Sol has contributed to prestigious institutions such as the Language Institute and the School of Languages at the Universidad Industrial de Santander, as well as working with the British Council. Her dynamic and adaptable approach, along with her commitment to quality education, ensures a rich learning experience for all her students.

Castro González

She is a highly qualified educator joining our team with a Master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from UDIMA, expected to be completed in 2023. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Language with Cum Laude honors from the Universidad Santo Tomás in Bucaramanga.

Bertha brings a wealth of experience in teaching English and Spanish, with a particular expertise in integrating educational technology into the classroom. Her professional journey includes over a decade of teaching at the Centro Colombo Americano de Bucaramanga, where she has been instrumental in enhancing language acquisition through innovative methods.

  • Teaching English and Spanish as foreign languages
  • Application of educational technology in language instruction
  • Coordinating and translating for education ministries

Brayan

Patiño

He is an emerging educator joining our team with fresh insights in Literature and Spanish Language from the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), where he is completing his Bachelor’s degree. His academic journey is complemented by his advanced English proficiency and his substantial experience in Spanish language instruction.

Brayan has actively contributed as a teaching assistant in the UIS Summer School program, where he effectively engaged students through interactive and innovative teaching methods. His commitment to creating dynamic learning environments caters to a wide range of student needs, making him a valuable asset to our academic team.

Mónica

Jaimes Galvis

She is an accomplished educator joining our team with a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages from the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), where she graduated with honors. Her specialization in English, along with her comprehensive teaching experience, makes her a versatile and dynamic addition to our program.

Mónica has a proven track record in teaching Spanish, French, and English as foreign languages. Her professional roles have included:

  • Spanish tutor for the UIS Summer School, where she utilized innovative teaching methods to effectively engage and motivate students.
  • French instructor in the “French for All” program, creating interactive virtual learning experiences for adult learners.
  • English teacher at the STEM Foundation, participating in a weekend English program designed for children and teenagers.

Recently, Mónica served as a Language Assistant in France, where she focused on enhancing students’ oral and written Spanish skills while sharing Colombian and Latin American cultural insights.

Mónica’s dedication to high-quality education and her commitment to fostering engaging and supportive learning environments make her a valuable asset to our summer program. Her diverse teaching background ensures a comprehensive and enriching educational experience for all her students.
